The BEST cue in town: Big Daddy Jay's All American BBQ

My friend Candice was craving for some awesome ribs one Saturday and she recommended we go to Big Daddy Jay’s. She kept on insisting that it's the BEST ribs she’s had, ever. Believe me, she wouldn't easily admit to things like that. So without any hesitation, we went straight to Big Daddy Jay’s in Cubao. It’s a small place and their menu is limited to ribs, wings, some sides and a couple of desserts.

Chewy Choco Barako Cookie Recipe

I have done this recipe quite a number of times now and so far I'd been receiving good comments about it. This cookie recipe is my own version of the Triple Chocolate Espresso Bean Cookie-- which is an awesome recipe too. But since I don't always have the ingredients and I always am in a low budget, I made my own version of it. I rated my own recipe a 4.5 as I think it can still be improved.

My Master Cleanse Experience

Photo from: www.plumpiecooks.com
So I guess you probably heard of the Master Cleanse or "The Lemonade Diet" of how extremely hard yet effective it is. Hollywood stars like Beyonce have done this and lost a lot of weight.

I put myself to that challenge and made a journal of my personal experience of it.

TAMAYAKI: An Unexpected Yummy Trip

What I love about this food trip is that it's a spontaneous one. We didn't plan on going here anytime soon but then we passed by the branch in Wilson and decided to have a look.

Famous Belgian Waffles: The Original Waffle Sandwich

Whenever I hear these two words – Belgian Waffle, I always have this biased opinion that it’s delicious. I don’t know why but maybe the sound of it just makes me want to eat one and expect it to taste good every single time. Famous Belgian Waffles just made my biased opinion more biased.

Little Tokyo: Urameshi-Ya Japanese Resto, Yakiniku Place

Little Tokyo: Urameshi-Ya Japanese Resto, Yakiniku Place

I have always been a fan of Japanese food. I don't eat sushi though - but that's a different story. One of my dreams is to travel to Japan and experience the nice views as seen in pictures and movies. I also want to try out the food of course! There are a lot of Japanese restaurants here in the Philippines but it's still different when you get to eat it from where it originated.

Anyway, my dream of going to Japan and eating authentic Japanese food may just come true! Well... Sort of. One Saturday afternoon, my cousins and I decided to go to Little Tokyo located along Pasong Tamo, Makati. It's a cool place! It's a small area comprised of different Japanese Restaurants that serve authentic Japanese food.

It really does look like a mini Japanese village of some sort inside! And this made us more excited to try one of their restaurants. We decided to try out Urameshiya Japanese Restaurant. It's a Yakiniku Place and I can't wait to grill some meat!
